Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

 

· Desk operation of BTG and BOP equipment (Desk Engineer)

· Monitoring Plant operating Parameters & chemistry parameters within design limits.

· Monitoring of healthiness of critical equipment

· Monitoring Power export schedule and UI as per DSM Guideline.

· Stack emission parameter monitoring and control.

· Responsible for Heat rate improvement.

· Special improvement projects

· Unit annual Overhauling activities

· Boiler hydro test activity

· Boiler light up & Turbine start up activities and shutdown of units.

· Boiler & Turbine emergency handling.

· Responsible for routine trial run of all emergency equipment.

· Responsible for proper breaker isolation & LOTO.

· Communication with MTP, O&E, AHP/CHP and maintenance department.

· Responsible for Responsible for equipment isolation and permit issue for maintenance work.

· Responsible for equipment revival after maintenance work.

· Responsible for schedule changeover of equipment.

Responsible for equipment Condition Monitoring, defect identification and defect notification.

 

Desired Candidate Profile

 

BE/B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical) with about 3- 8 years of Experience in Operations of Thermal Power Plant of 250 MW and above capacity, NPTI/BOE certification os preferable.
