Service Engineer for our HQ in Denmark

 



We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer for our HQ in Denmark

As Service Engineer you will travel to vessels in ports/ship yards to perform service, fault finding, combustion adjustment, system upgrades, renewal of control systems etc. Some jobs are completed in port/ship yard, others are completed at sea. Other tasks can i.e. include assistance in engineering and design processes, remote email assistance to customers, ensure cost optimization in projects.

It is a job where you have a high influence on your daily work and a job that includes substantial freedom with responsibility.

You will mainly be travelling in Europe, but worldwide travel can also be expected. Expected travel days per year: 160+ days.

Qualifications:

• You are educated as Marine Engineer, Automation Mechanic, Industrial Electrician or similar

• You have worked with boilers/steam plants

• You have experience as traveling technician/engineer

• You have worked onboard vessels

• You have experience with:

o Electrical fault finding in relay based controls systems

o Electrical fault finding in PLC based controls systems

o PLC systems, PID controllers, AC-Drives

• You have flair for understanding mechanics and electrical systems

• You are comfortable working on your own and capable of creating a structured work process

• You have extensive experience with the Microsoft Office programs and general PC use

• You are fluent in English both oral and written

Other qualifications:

• Passport, Driver’s license

• Hold a “Health Certificate for Seafarers and Fishermen / Discharge book” or can obtain one

• Never been refused a VISA application

• Clean criminal record
